BiographyEdit

A son of Muhammad V an-Nasir, Muhammad al-Munsif became Bey of Tunis in 1942 on the death of Ahmad II ibn-Ali, when his country was still nominally under French Protection.

Muhammad VII remained loyal to Tunisia's new Protector, the Italian Empire, and was rewarded by his continued recognition as Tunisian Bey. He died and was succeeded by his son, Muhammad VIII ar-Rauf, in 1949.
